Fox said Tuesday that it loves The Simpsons as much as anybody, but that the current cost of production is unfeasible into the future. After 23 seasons, the Emmy-winning sitcom the longest-running scripted show of all time.

Lisa Simpson on Lady Gaga's Guest Appearance: "She Was Awesome!"
Something tells us Springfield is never going to be the same.
Yeardley Smith, who gives voice to Lisa Simpson on The Simpsons, filled E! News in last night on just how Lady Gaga did when she recently lent her voice to an upcoming episode.
"She was awesome! She was so good," said Yeardley. "She looked like a f--king rock star. It was off the shizzle. It was amazing."
Such a positive response will no doubt be, er, music to Gaga's ears, who told EW last month that she found the experience to be "a little nerve-wracking," but still "one of the coolest things" she's ever done.
The episode, titled "Lisa Goes Gaga," is scheduled to air in spring 2012.

While a certain television and movie actor's home may not be as massive as some of the neighboring estates in his Bel-Air neighborhood, his abode certainly ain't shabby. Said actor, who was once married to an Academy Award-winning actress, shares the home with his longtime girlfriend and their two-year-old son.
And now he's showing off the pricey property (he paid $10 million for it two years ago, according to the Los Angeles Times) in Architectural Digest just as his new bluesy flick is about to hit theaters.

Simpsons Episodes Featuring Nuclear Disaster Jokes Pulled

Understandably, some of the humor on The Simpsons is being viewed as a little too radioactive right now.
Sensitive to the nuclear power plant problems that Japan is currently facing, television stations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are in the process of reviewing episodes of the long-running animated series—seeing how Homer Simpson works at a power plant in Springfield and all—to weed out any that feature references to nuclear disaster.

Other comedies are sure to be yellow with envy over this news: Fox has once again renewed The Simpsons, further solidifying the Springfield crew's place in TV history as the longest-running comedy. Ever.
The upcoming 23rd season (just think about that for a second) will bring Bart, Homer, and the rest of the Simpsons crew up to a whopping total of 515 episodes.

It doesn't get much better than Daniel Radcliffe and Robert Pattinson all rolled up into one.
Such was the case on The Simpson's 21st annual Treehouse of Horror 's "Tweenlight" tale, which featured the Harry Potter star spoofing the Twilight heartthrob as a high school-aged vampire named Edmund who woos Lisa with his bus-stopping swagger.

It looks like the sometimes-irreverent Homer Simpson is getting a little reverence from…The Vatican?!
"Few people know it, and he does everything to hide it, but it is true: Homer J. Simpson is a Catholic," states L'Osservatore Romano, the Vatican's daily newspaper, in a recent article.
