Sick John Mayer Pulls Plug on European Shows

John Mayer is waiting on his health to change before going back onstage.
The garrulous pop star has pulled the plug on the remainder of his shows in Europe and will be returning to the U.S. to recover from an undisclosed illness which caused him to cancel last night's concert in Copenhagen.
According to a statement on his website, "a full recovery is expected under a doctor's supervision."
Mayer had two sold-out shows coming up in Amsterdam plus a festival appearance in Madrid and an arena show in Manchester. He should have plenty of time to rest, because he's not due back on the road until July 16, when his tour resumes in Charlotte, N.C.
