"En français, LaBeouf signifie «bœuf», mais mal orthographié. Ça devrait être LaBœuf (sic). Ma grand-mère était une lesbienne hippie qui détestait sa famille et a changé l'orthographe de son nom dans les années 50, et depuis, c'est resté comme ça. Quand je vais en France, les gens disent : «LaBeouf ? C’est un nom d'illettré, ça.» Par-dessus le marché, Shia (!) ne sonne pas trop bien en français non plus. La traduction de mon nom est donc à peu près «Merde Le Bœuf»... C'est pas un nom de rock-star, ça ?!
