Shannon Elizabeth Ties the Knot!

Looks like Shannon Elizabeth had a foreign exchange of her own over the weekend.

The actress, best known as the exotic sexpot student Nadia from the American Pie flicks, exchanged vows with actor and longtime boyfriend Joseph D. Reitman Saturday in Mexico, her publicist confirms.

No word on exactly where the twosome tied the knot, but the 28-year-old actress tells this month's InStyle magazine that they were eyeing a small (no more than 20 people) beachfront ceremony, possibly at Hotelito Desconocido, a resort south of Puerto Vallarta where they've vacationed previously.

"We were worried we'd get bored," she said. "It's a place with no TVs, no phones, no anything."

Elizabeth, a former model whose big-screen credits include both American Pie films, Tomcats and Thirteen Ghosts, first met her hubby in an acting class. The 34-year-old Reitman has appeared on everything from TV shows like Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed, to films like Clueless and The Perfect Storm. He's also had bit parts in several of Elizabeth's movies.

"He coaches a lot, too, because he is such a good actor," Elizabeth told the Los Angeles Times last year. "He and I are constantly going over things. He specializes in comedy--he taught me timing."

The couple, engaged since November 1999, also share a love of animals, having teamed up to found an animal rescue organization called Animal Avengers.

"When I worry about things going on in the world and keeping me safe and my fiancé safe, I worry about keeping my animals safe," she said. "I have been trying to find gas masks for dogs. I have a vet friend who said that somebody in his office got some."

No word, however, on which pet served as ringbearer.
