Shanna Supplies the 411 on Paris
Don't cross Shanna Moakler. The former beauty queen will make you wish you'd never been listed.
Over the weekend, Travis Barker's off-on better half posted what she claimed were Paris Hilton's and Lindsay Lohan's phone numbers and/or email addresses on her MySpace blog, after a perceived slight by the tabloid queens.
The erstwhile Miss USA claimed to be acting in response to a posting on Lohan ex-beau Harry Morton's page that included Moakler's contact information. In a blog entry titled "Put This in Your Pipe and Smoke It," Moakler wrote that she suspected either Hilton or Lohan was overseeing Morton's page for him:
"I posted this blog back in January to let you all know that my accounts were hacked. ... and since there are 2 little girls with to much time on their hands and no one to love them....id like to share my 'hacked' info as well. ive tried to disassociate myself from both these parties for some time now and like a fungus they wont go away."
While it's unclear what Moakler's beef with Lohan is, the Dancing with the Stars also-ran made the tabloids with Hilton last October following a run-in at Hollywood hot spot Hyde, after which Hilton said she was punched in the face by Moakler and Moakler accused Hilton's onetime boy-toy Stavros Niarchos of pushing her down some stairs.
All of which occurred after Hilton and Barker, at the time estranged from Moakler, were purportedly spotted getting hot and heavy at parties in New York and Los Angeles. The Meet the Barkers couple have since reconciled, and no charges were ever filed stemming from the blonde-on-blonde catfight.
Moakler's overly informative blog post has since been taken down, but that didn't stop Hilton's rep, Elliot Mintz, from calling it a "childish, mean-spirited thing to do."
"It appears to me that this woman is simply desperate for press and attention," Mintz said in a statement Monday. "The facts are simple. Shanna deliberately posted Paris' phone number and email address on her MySpace site. It was an unprovoked invasion upon Paris' privacy which caused her to immediately change her contact information."
But although the oft-hacked Hilton was forced to change her digits yet again, a rep for Lohan said that the Georgia Rule star's real info is safe. "Those are not her email addresses," the spokesperson said, adding that Lohan and Moakler are "not friends.”
In response to the "why, Shanna, why?" questions, Moakler wrote Sunday on MySpace that there are "numerous reasons" why she posted that info and that she stands behind "every single one" of her blogs.
"Having fun at the expense of others is in poor taste and I just had enough of it," Moakler wrote. "I have known Harry Morton for over 10 years and i highly respect him. I know for a fact he does NOT have a Myspace account and Nor did he write a blog about me. HE actually has a life and a reputation and i wish him much success in his ventures."
Meanwhile, Moakler's publicist, Susan Madore, released a statement to E! News saying, "Shanna had valid reasons for her actions and she stands by every one of them.
"She’s lost her tolerance for childish games played at her expense and the expense of others for the amusement of bored children," Madore continued before working in a plug. "Shanna is at work on her new series for the CW and frankly doesn’t have the inclination to spend more time on this matter."
Both Hilton and Lohan's camps have denied having anything to do with the alleged hacking of Moakler's info.
"Paris has had absolutely no contact with this woman in any form and no contact with Travis," a source close to Hilton told E! News. "Sources cannot believe a mother of three would be sitting around on a Friday night attempting to do something to disrupt someone's private life this way."
