Sometimes motherhood can bring out your emotional side.

Beyoncé and her hubby, Jay-Z, have been public promoters of the Obama family (plus, we know Barack's a fan of Hov's), so Bey took some time out to write a sweet letter (which she posted on her website) to her good friend Michelle Obama...who also just so happens to be the first lady.

Blue Ivy's mama starts off her inspirational note by describing Michelle as "the ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman."

"She's a caring mother, she's a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the First Lady!"

At first you think, wait—is she writing to Obama or just about her (either of which is perfectly OK)?

But then we understand that Bey was just admiring the first lady's qualities before getting to the point of her letter.

"Michelle, thank you for every single thing that you do for us. I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to."

How presh is that?!
