Monday TV's Top Scorer, After Gilles Marini: The French-accented Dancing With the Stars was down about 1.5 million viewers from its record premiere but overall stayed strong with 21.1 million ballroom watchers, per preliminary Nielsen estimates.
Honorable Mention: Going against the first hour of Dancing, House (12.8 million) was up over its season average.
Welcome Back, Sort Of: Airing their first new episodes in weeks, Gossip Girl (2.2 million) and One Tree Hill (2.3 million) were both down touches from their season averages.
Etc.: ABC's new post-Dancing series, Castle (11.5 million), held well versus its premiere week. Heroes took a break, as did its fans, with only 3 million tuning in its rerun.
