Saying C-Word Doesn't Strike Jane Fonda Dead

Despite what your mother, your third-grade teacher and the standards and practices department might have you believe, you don't get zapped by a bolt of lightning for using bad language.

We're happy to report that Jane Fonda was alive and well last night at the 10th anniversary V-Day performance of The Vagina Monologues—even after her see-you-next-Tuesday slip on Today Thursday morning.

So, put that bar of soap away, and let's celebrate the fact that Fonda (along with Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, creator Eve Ensler and Brooke Shields) is part of a movement that aims to stop violence against women.
