Sara Gilbert took to The Talk to confirm what the world already knows: she and Linda Perry are dating.

The daytime show cohost told her fellow gabbers on Wednesday's episode that her budding romance with the former 4 Non Blondes frontwoman was outted by photographers who caught the lovebirds out for a walk over the weekend.

"What's goin' on" indeed.

"The other day I was just out, and the paparazzi were there," Gilbert said, admitting what was obvious in the photo posted on the monitor of the pair holding hands while shopping.

The former Roseanne star, however, expressed being a little mystified as to how the news got out before she was ready to share it (Earth to Gilbert: you're a celebrity).

"It was Sunday morning and I wasn't really prepared and there were these articles out that I'm in a new relationship," she added. "I go online, and it's on CNN...it's weird."

Maybe to Sara, but by the sound of their applause, the audience wholeheartedly approved of the hookup with the singer-songwriter turned producer, even if prematurely announced.

In any event, Gilbert—who came out as a lesbian in 2010 and split from her partner of 10 years, TV producer Allison Adler, back in August—tried to make light of the situation.

"I do want to share [the news] with you…but I want to do it on my own terms, in full hair and makeup," she quipped.

The 36-year-old actress's comments subsequently sparked a discussion among her Talk colleagues about celebrities' right to privacy

Gilbert and Adler have two kids together, 7-year-old son Levi and 4-year-old daughter Sawyer.
