Sandler the Wedding Planner
Love doesn't stink.
That's the refrain from Wedding Singer star Adam Sandler, who's about to wed longtime gal-pal Jackie Titone, his publicist confirmed this week.
Sandler and the model-turned-actress will swap vows "at the end of June," according to a source quoted in Us Weekly. The ceremony was originally intended to be a big bash later this summer "but there's an illness in the [Sandler] family so it will probably be a little smaller."
No word on where the nuptials or ensuing honeymoon will take place. Or whether the event will feature an appearance by Sandler production regulars, including Rob Schneider, Allen Covert, Peter Dante and Jonathan Loughran. Let's hope Sandler hires someone else to handle the singing chores.
The soon-to-be minted couple reportedly met and began dating in January 1999. The same year she starred in the Sandler feature Big Daddy and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, starring Schneider. She's since appeared in Little Nicky and lent her voice to Eight Crazy Nights.
It's a first marriage for the Brooklyn-born thesp, who was formerly engaged to a civilian in 1989 (Magaret Ruden: a cosmetics-company manager) and was briefly linked to Alicia Silverstone in 1996.
Sandler's also recently teamed up with another favorite femme, Wedding Singer costar Drew Barrymore, for their movie Fifty First Kisses. The project, produced by their respective production companies Happy Madison and Flower Films, is currently wrapping up shooting in Hawaii. Note to Adam: We hear it's a nice spot for a honeymoon.
