Sandler and Brooks Singing for Oscar?

Is Adam Sandler headed to the Oscars?
I'm told Academy Awards show producer Laura Ziskin wants Sandler to take part in the Jack Black-Will Ferrell performance I first told you about yesterday. Black and Ferrell, I'm told, have signed on to sing an original ditty penned for the show.
A source tells me that Sandler is likely to be invited any day now (that is, if he hasn't already).
And there's one more big shot jokester whom Ziskin is looking to nab for the performance—Mel Brooks.
While Sandler, Black and Ferrell may have had some huge comedic hits, they're not exactly Oscar caliber yet. Brooks, however, picked up an Academy Award in 1968 for Best Original Screenplay for The Producers.
A rep for the Academy isn't commenting. However, four more presenters were announced today: Ben Affleck, Tom Cruise, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Winslet.
