Wake up Paris Hilton, Rod Stewart has something to say to you!

The aging rocker is weighing in on the 29-year-old celebutante's latest brush with the law, telling her to "give up the drugs" and stressing that she was a friend of his party girl daughter Kim Stewart, but that the two no longer see each other.

"She is a lovely girl," Stewart politely says in an interview with the U.K.'s Telegraph. "I've always found her tremendously polite and very respectful, but, you know, it's time to move on perhaps, give up the drugs."

Hilton was partying in Vegas with boyfriend Cy Waits when their black Escalade was pulled over on the Strip after cops smelled what they believed was marijuana smoke wafting out from the windows. They searched the SUV and found a small amount of cocaine in her bag. First she said the purse wasn't hers. She later claimed it was gum.

Hilton, 29, and Waits, 34, were jailed and charged—she with felony drug possession, he with DUI.

Stewart says that despite all her troublemaking, Hilton is a "beautiful girl" who should just move forward.

"You know move on, there's other things, you don't need em," he says. "She's a beautiful girl. We've all done it, but I've never been a druggie sort of person so I've always been against it."
