Turns out sex therapy may not be the only form of relaxation in Robin Thicke's repertoire.

The R&B singer was arrested for marijuana possession just after midnight in New York City after patrol officers spotted him puffing away in the backseat of his chauffeured Cadillac Escalade, the NYPD confirmed to E! News Friday.

So, was it the Thicke smoke that gave him away?

A source tells E! News that the cops approached the vehicle and, after smelling something familiar, found a small amount of pot inside a pack of cigarettes.

The "Sweetest Love" singer was the only passenger and his driver was sitting in the front seat of the SUV, which was stopped at 3rd Avenue and East 24th Street.

Thicke, who has been charged with criminal possession of marijuana, was summoned to the station house and released soon afterward with a citation that will require him to appear in court within a month to face the charge.
