Rob Lowe is funny, handsome and suave...

But is he a morning person?

After his well-received stint guest-hosting Live! with Kelly Ripa, Lowe's name immediately jumped to the top of the list of possible full-time replacements for Regis Philbin, who signed off in November, leaving an iconic pair of shoes to fill.

So, is Lowe seriously considering taking the gig? Or, wait a sec, is ABC even considering offering him the gig?

Well, the network has reportedly approached the Parks and Recreation star's camp about making him Ripa's permanent cohost.

And when TMZ cornered Lowe at the airport on his way out of New York and asked whether he could live in the Big Apple permanently, he certainly didn't deny the possibility of it happening.

"We were just talking about that," he told the site. "I love New York. I love the energy. It would be a change of pace. I'm a California boy, but it could be fun."

Meanwhile, the actor certainly seemed to get a kick out of the before-dawn wakeup call and working with Ripa.

"Getting fueled up with coffee for @LiveKelly lLets see if I can screw this up!" he tweeted Thursday. "Wow. So fun this am co hosting #LiveWithKelly."

Afterward, he wrote, "@KellyRipa Thanks for making my first co hosting day SO fun. You are the best. #LiveWithKelly."

Ripa (looks like we've got a Brat Pack fan here) didn't seem to mind having Lowe around, either, tweeting, "Omg. @RobLowe is across the hall!!!!! Am I as giddy as a school girl? Yes!"

And after the taping: "Thank you @RobLowe! Today was a dream for all of us! #giddyschoolgirlsunite!"

And with that, Lowe joins the list of rumored Regis replacements that has included at one time or another Anderson Cooper, Jerry Seinfeld, Ryan Seacrest and Ripa's own husband, Mark Consuelos.
