Riot on the Set? Brad Pitt's Zombie-Fighting Weapons Seized by Real Cops!

Brad Pitt SWNS / Splash News

Bet this never happened on the set of Moneyball.

Hungarian authorities converged on the Budapest set of Brad Pitt's latest film, World War Z, after hearing that the production possessed a massive live weapons cache that, per police, was an accident waiting to happen. The special team seized ammunition and 85 guns, ranging from AK-47s to sniper rifles, that weren't supposed to be fully functioning assault weapons.

How will Pitt fight the zombies now?!

"We are working with the authorities to resolve the matter and have no further comment at this time," a spokesman for the production told E! News Monday.

Presumably, however, the raid doesn't spell the apocalypse for the thriller, which is supposed to be in wide release on Dec. 21, 2012. Merry Christmas!

The entire Jolie-Pitt clan has been jaunting around Europe this summer as World War Z, which features a variety of crowd shots with soldiers packing heavy artillery. The shoot has taken Pitt to Malta, London and Glasgow, where he engaged in some real-life heroics when he helped a fallen extra get back on her feet during a stampede scene.

But this is the first time that local authorities have left the fake military defenseless.
