Questo viaggio in Australia avrà luogo un po’ più tardi del previsto.
Ora che Harry Potter e il principe mezzosangue uscirà più tardi rispetto alla data originariamente stabilita del 21 novembre, la Fox ha spostato Australia in modo che approfitti del weekend festivo del Giorno del Ringraziamento.
L’attesissimo film di Baz Luhrmann, una storia d’amore in stile western ambientata durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, vede come protagonisti Nicole Kidman e Hugh Jackman.
Australia doveva inizialmente uscire nelle sale cinematografiche il 14 novembre per competere con l’ultima avventura di James Bond della MGM, Quantum of Solace, anche questo rimandato (doveva uscire il 7 novembre) dopo che la Warner Bros. ha deciso di rimandare Potter al prossimo luglio.
Adesso, il primo film di Luhrmann dopo l’acclamato musical Moulin Rouge! (2001)—e il suo più costoso finora, con un budget stimato intorno ai $130 milioni—uscirà simultaneamente negli Stati Uniti, in Australia e in Canada il 26 novembre, il mercoledì prima del Giorno del Ringraziamento.
Al posto di 007, Australia dovrà affrontare avversari minori al botteghino: anche Transporter 3 della Lionsgate e Four Christmases della Warner, con Vince Vaughn e Reese Witherspoon, usciranno al cinema quel weekend.
