Rihanna Reacts to Death of 11-Year-Old Lion King Star

Rihanna was inspired by Shannon Tavarez in life, and is saddened to hear that life must go on without her.
"Just got off of a plane ride and got horrible news that our little star Shannon Taverez has lost her battle against leukemia!" the singer, who had been in London, tweeted Tuesday evening. "Way too soon...keep her family in your prayers."
Earlier this year, Rihanna mourned the death of 6-year-old Jasmina Anema, who during the course of her treatment for a rare form of leukemia underwent a bone marrow transplant—a donor having been found after Rihanna and some celebrity pals rallied support for her cause.
