Reese Witherspoon's mom and dad are tangled up in a legal dispute, but it looks like the actress is on friendly terms with her father, Dr. John D. Witherspoon.

On Saturday, the 36-year-old pregnant star, daughter Ava, 12, and son Deacon, 8, were joined by John, 70, for a hike in Santa Monica. Calif.

The foursome, joined by two dogs, looked relaxed as they enjoyed their afternoon stroll. Witherspoon wore a baseball cap, sneakers, pink shorts and a gray T-shirt that showcased her growing bump. Ava looked low-key in a cap, gray tee, khaki shorts and sneakers, while Deacon kept it simple in khaki shorts, sneakers and a plain white T-shirt.

Reese's mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Witherspoon, filed a bigamy lawsuit against John earlier this month. Although Betty and John have been separated since 1996, they're still legally married. Despite this, John married Tricianne Taylor on Jan. 14.

Reese's mother believes that John is suffering from early-onset dementia and his new wife is taking advantage of his condition. In an affidavit, Betty said her husband "said he didn't know who Tricianne Taylor was and that he did not remember getting married."

Last Friday, Reese joined her parents in a Nashville courtroom for an emergency conservatorship hearing that Betty filed against John the week before.
