Project Runway Smells, Teri Caffinates—and Uma Sails Away

Project Runway's  Michael Knight stinks—but in a good way. The up-and-coming designer told me he's already developing his own fragrance line.

However, he's being tight-lipped about the name. "It's going to be my name—sort of," he said quite cryptically at Backstage Creations' Golden Globes gifting suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Knight said he's also putting the finishing touches on a clothing line—a collection he originally planned on only selling through his Website—and he's in talks with a "big, big" store to carry the some of his work. 

Knight was on hand at the suite to promote his new project with Starbucks, a T-shirt line featuring Knight designs inspired by the coffee company's many different drinks. Celebs making their way through the suite were asked to sign tees that would later be auctioned online at Clothes Off Our Back.

I hit the Backstage suite pretty early on Saturday, before any stars had made it there. However, that didn't mean there wasn't a lot of celeb pimping going on. A few things I learned while browsing: 

• Isaiah Washington took advantage of the Starwood Bora Bora package, when he was given a gift certificate for the Tahitian resort. He took his wife and kids on the vacation. Celebs at Backstage were offered a free six-day, five-night trip to one of two of Starwood's Bora Bora resorts! Others who have hit the Bora Bora properties include Patricia Arquette and Pierce Brosnan. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban honeymooned at the $60 million complex.
• Teri Hatcher really needs her coffee in the morning. I was told Hatcher not only has a Keurig brewing system in her Desperate Housewives trailer but one in her bedroom at home. "She put one there so she doesn't have to walk downstairs to her kitchen in the morning if she doesn't want to," a rep for Keurig told me. "But she has one in her kitchen, too." 
• New mom Sofia Coppola hit the Internet for some shopping, picking up a black and white Diapees & Wipees diaper bag shortly after daughter Romy was born in November. Matt Damon picked up a multicolored one for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner when baby Violet arrived.
• Some boldfaced names would rather sail than fly. At Backstage, they were given free transatlantic trips on Cunard's Queen Mary 2. Uma Thurman and Lenny Kravitz have already made the journey, and I'm told Rod Stewart is a regular.
• Of course, you can't really be a celeb unless you're constantly on the phone or typing away. My gal Jennifer Hudson, Courteney Cox and Heroes stars Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panetierre picked up the newest model of Cingular's Blackberry Pearl.
