Potter Author Preggers...Again

The Muggles are getting restless.

Harry Potter mastermind J.K. Rowling confirmed she was pregnant over the weekend, announcing on her official Website that she was expecting her third child sometime next year.

"I always wanted three children so I could not be happier," she said via JKRowling.com.

The bun-in-the-oven announcement was immediately followed by reassurances for impatient Potter fans.

"Now, I know that many Harry Potter fans? first reaction will be what does this mean for the timing of book six?" she said. "So let me reassure you that book six remains well on track and, fingers crossed of course, I don?t foresee any baby-related interruptions or delays."

Glad to see she's got her priorities in order.

The Scottish-based scribe said she couldn't be sure when the book would be finished, but "I have written a lot and I really like it."

Rowling already has a son, David, from her second husband Dr. Neil Murray, and a daughter, Jessica, from her first marriage. But the delivery that Potter enthusiasts are most interested in is the sixth installment in the Harry Potter franchise.

In June, Rowling announced the title of her upcoming book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, but didn't disclose a publication date or any details about the story except to say the princely title didn't refer to Potter or Lord Voldemort.

Rowling's first installment in the planned seven-book series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was published in 1997. The most recent novel, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, was released in 2003, three years, a wedding and a baby after book number four, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

But who's counting?
