Shocker! Pete Doherty Jailed for Cocaine Possession
Pete Doherty's latest bust has landed him back in the big house.
The British musician, who's certainly no stranger to substance abuse or the inside of a cell, has received a six-month jail sentence after pleading guilty to cocaine possession.
The charge stemmed from his arrest in March of last year after the Babyshambles frontman was suspected of providing drugs to Robyn Whitehead, a 27-year-old heiress-turned-filmmaker who was working on a documentary about Doherty when she was found dead from a suspected overdose.
The singer, who was reportedly working on a comeback album with his old band The Libertines, was forced to cancel a scheduled concert in Scotland this evening after receiving his sentence.

The trouble-prone British rocker, who spent most of the last decade in and out of jail for various substance abuse and drunken driving offenses, was taken into custody last Friday, this time on suspicion of supplying drugs to an heiress-turned-filmmaker friend who died from a suspected overdose.
According to the BBC, London's Finest questioned the 31-year-old Doherty, along with two other men and a woman, in the death of Robin Whitehead, whose body was discovered in her flat on Jan. 24 along with drug paraphernalia.
Whitehead had just finished making The Road to Albion, a documentary about the Babyshambles frontman's former band, the Libertines.
