Smart, funny TV is finally getting some recognition.

The folks behind the 71st Annual Peabody Awards announced today that The Colbert Report, Parks and Recreation and Fred Armisen's Portlandia are among this year's winners.

Also being honored? Showtime's psychologically intense anti-terrorist drama, Homeland, starring Claire Danes.

HBO's Game of Thrones also received a Peabody Award, as did the long-running hit game show Jeopardy.

Peabodys will be handed out May 21 at a New York City luncheon hosted by Patrick Stewart.

Check out the full rundown of this year's winners, bestowed by the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
