After being shut out of the Sexiest Man Alive spot by Matt Damon, People has offered Patrick Dempsey a different prize: Star of the Year.
It's a nice gesture. Seriously. Good thing the mag has about a million accolades they hand out throughout the year. That way, no star can ever get angry at the magazine.
Heck, even Britney Spears got a prize. A 2007 Bestie for Most Talked About Star, which is a really nice way of phrasing "Biggest Train Wreck We're Sick of Hearing About." (Hey, she worked hard for that honor and really deserves it.)
But back to Patrick...We just wanted to give you an opportunity to admire him. Maybe '08 will be his sexiest year ever, and he'll find his way on that cover. For now, we hope our favorite YouTube Dempsey tribute will do.
