Paris Speaks to Pranking

By now, we all know the joke's on us...
Paris successfully punked the press all when she pretended to give away a diamond necklace at the urging of a bearded and robed shaman. (It was all for Ashton Kutcher's latest prankster reality show, Pop Fiction.)
Now that the episode has aired, is Paris glad she pulled a fast one on the media—and all her fans?
"Are you kidding? People loved it!" Paris tells E! News. "Everyone I've talked to tells me how much they liked it."
Paris helped come up with the stunt idea, after brainstorming with the show's producers on a few other tricks, including a plot to stage a fake marriage or a pretend pregnancy. "This one seemed the most harmless," Paris said. "And I really thought it was the funniest."
As for why she decided to take a swing back at the throng of media constantly covering her every move—doesn't it seem a bit risky to make them mad?
"You know, I thought they'd laugh at it, too," she said. "Plus, Ashton asked me. He's a friend."
Of course, anything for a friend.
