Paris Release Watch: Only Hours to Go

For Paris Hilton, visiting hours are officially over.

With less than a day until the beleaguered heiress is due to be released from the Century Regional Detention Facility, Hilton—along with her family, friends, peeved neighbors and assorted new buddies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department—is preparing for freedom.

Prisoner 9818783 received her final two visitors at the Lynwood lockup over the weekend, getting check-ins from mother Kathy and actress friend Ashley Scott.

"She doesn't like orange anymore," Kathy Hilton told reporters after an hourlong visit Saturday. "She can't wait to get that orange suit off."

The elder Hilton also described her daughter and the whole family as being "very, very excited" at Paris' impending emancipation.

"We're just excited," Kathy Hilton said. "We can't wait just to hug her and hold her."

Kathy Hilton described her daughter's health as "good," and declined to elaborate on the immediate postrelease plans, only saying Paris was looking forward "just to be with the family." (Not to mention Larry King.)

Meanwhile, Jericho star Scott will go down in the history books as Hilton's final jailhouse visitor after popping by Sunday night for a 45-minute chat. Scott described her socialite pal as being "very excited about getting out and eating a good meal and sleeping in her bed."

"She's doing as well as she can be right now," Scott told reporters outside the jail. "She's definitely learning a lot about herself."

As for how Hilton is holding up behind bars, Scott said her friend is keeping "strong"—both mentally and physically.

"She looks gorgeous. She looks stunning. She looks absolutely beautiful...It must be something in the soap.

"She's strong and she's ready to get out."

Her West Hollywood neighbors, however, may not be looking forward to her release with the same amount of anticipation.

A flier is being distributed throughout Hilton's neighborhood warning residents of the impending barrage of paparazzi and other media that will no doubt swarm the area, as they did earlier this month, upon the heiress' homecoming.

"Dear Neighbor," the flier, which was circulated last week, reads. "Since the arrival of Paris Hilton to our neighborhood, we've seen our quality of life deteriorate. We feel we need to take a stand. The circus will resume next week when she gets out of jail."

Authorities are doing their best to limit the camera-wielding hordes by making the streets surrounding Hilton's block temporary no-parking zones.

Unfortunately, they failed to make the neighborhood no-tagging zones.

Late Sunday, a wall surrounding the heiress' home was spray-painted with "parisexposed.com," the Website Hilton successfully sued to shut down but recently reopened in defiance of a judge's order when she went to jail.

The tagging was expected to be cleaned up by Tuesday, when Hilton is set to return to her home after 23 days in the slammer.

Sheriff's Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore reiterated Monday that Hilton would not be eligible for release until the stroke of midnight, despite rumors circulating that Hilton may actually be released Monday to throw off reporters. However, Whitmore refused to speculate on exactly when Century Regional's most famous jailbird will be sprung.

In any case, Hilton should have plenty of time to prep for her first postjail interview with King on Wednesday night.

"I am thrilled that Larry King has asked me to appear on his program to discuss my experience in jail, what I have learned, how I have grown and anything else he wants to talk about," Hilton said in a statement. "Larry King is not only a world-renown journalist, but a true American icon. It will be an honor to do his show."
