Paris Plotting Nicole's Shower
Paris Hilton knows parties. Party games, on the other hand...
With just days to go before Hilton cohosts a baby shower for fellow Simple Lifer Nicole Richie, the hotel heiress is still ironing out some details.
"I honestly don't know what you play at a shower," Hilton tells E! Online. "Maybe I'll find a book or something to get some ideas."
The celebutante also needs to hit the stores.
"I don't know what to get her," Hilton says. "Because most of us don't know yet what she's having. She doesn't know if she's having a boy or a girl.
"I thought for sure she'd want to know, but she decided to wait."
Fortunately for Hilton, she's getting some help with the party-throwing duties. Nicole's mom, Brenda Harvey-Richie, is pitching in along with planner-to-the-stars Mindy Weiss.
"It's going to be really nice, with just us girls," says Hilton. "Just Nicole's closest girlfriends and female relatives."
Guests at Sunday's bash at the Beverly Hills Hotel will include Paris' sister, Nicky (also a close Richie friend), and mother, Kathy (who has known Richie since she was in elementary school).
Superstar deejay and Lindsay Lohan sidekick Samantha Ronson will be spinning the records for the afternoon. Weiss' menu includes nonalcoholic cocktails and a top-notch food spread.
Richie, 26, and her fiancé, Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden, 28, are expecting the baby after the new year. They decided to wait after the birth to get married.
As for what kind of wedding her longtime pal will have?
"A big one," says Hilton. "She'll have a very big wedding!"
