In Ozzy Osbourne's case, there was no rest for the tax man...until now.

Three days after news surfaced that the legendary headbanger and his manager-wife, Sharon, owed more than $1.7 million in back taxes, the Osbournes are flying high again, announcing that they have paid Uncle Sam in full.

So what happened?

"At 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon I received a phone call from my publicist who had a reporter on the other line informing her that the IRS had just put a lien on one of our properties," Sharon Osbourne said in a statement released to PerezHilton.com which she linked to from her Twitter page.

"I then contacted my accountant who said they knew nothing about any lien. The lien has [now] been paid. I do intend to find out how this lien happened without the knowledge of myself or my accountants. I hope none of this reflects negatively on mine and Ozzy's moral character."

According to a tax lien filed April 4 by the IRS on the duo's Hidden Hills mansion in Los Angeles, as well as their $10 million Malibu pad, the Osbournes owed approximately $718,948 from the 2008 tax year and $1,024,175 from 2009.

If the famed couple had failed to pay up, the government could have continued pushing legal proceedings to seize the residences.

Glad to hear that's resolved so the heavy metal icon can get back to doing what he does best: biting the heads off bats entertaining. Osbourne's Scream Tour is set to pull up tonight in Quito Ecuador followed by shows in Colombia and Panama before heading to Europe in June.
