Osbournes Leg it to Hospital, Hoof it to West End
It was lights out, briefly, for the Prince of Darkness over the weekend.
Ozzy Osbourne unexpectedly went under the knife Saturday in Denver for what his management company called a "minor outpatient procedure."
"He is doing well," his reps said in a statement.
Shortly after wrapping his Ozzfest set at the Coors Amphitheatre in Englewood, Colorado, the 58-year-old was rushed to Denver's Rose Medical Center. While his reps kept mum on what prompted Osbourne's emergency check-in, local news channel KUSA-TV reported that the rocker had complained of leg pains during the show and was subsequently treated for a blood clot.
He was given a clean bill of health and released early Sunday.
The Black Sabbath frontman is already back on the road in Kansas City, Missouri, where he's set to headline Ozzfest later Monday.
It wasn't all bad news for the Osbourne clan this weekend, however, as word also broke that youngest offspring Kelly will make her West End debut in the musical Chicago.
The 22-year-old is set to play the typically older than her years character of prison matron Mama Morton during a seven-week run at London's Cambridge Theatre. The role was played in the Oscar-winning big screen version by Queen Latifah.
Kelly's gig kicks off Sept. 10.
As for Ozzfest, the metal tour has 16 more dates before wrapping Aug. 30 in West Palm Beach.
