One Tree Hill Scoop: Hilarie Burton Reveals Why Her Character Won't Be There in the Very End

We wish we could report that last night, Hilarie Burton told us at the Breaking Dawn premiere that she would be returning to One Tree Hill for the series finale, but alas, she still will be a no-show.

However, we do have the next best thing…

We asked Burton (who attended the premiere with beau Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural, Weeds) where she thinks Peyton Scott would be now since driving off into the sunset with her hubby Lucas and their newborn baby.

"She's probably super pregnant with four or five," she tells us. "She's having a Lucas Scott little, I'm sure!"

That's an intense scenario, and Morgan definitely agreed. "She's pregnant with four?" he asks his lady. "Or she's already had three and is pregnant with the fourth?"

"I mean, maybe. They started really young. She's southern," Burton reasons. And now we have our answer to why Peyton isn't coming back to Tree Hill with her man. She's stuck in bed with quadruplets.

"Four at the same time is a lot. That's like Octomom s--t," Morgan laughs. "It's gotta be big enough that she's got to be laid up in bed," Burton adds.

There you have it, OTH fans. Peyton is too pregnant to move, and that is why she won't be back in Tree Hill anytime soon. Wah wahhh...

On a happier note, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Dennyyyy!) is set to return to TV, starring in Starz's 10-episode period drama Magic City. JDM describes it as "1959, Miami, mobsters, sex, sun, beach." And when asked what would attract a Supernatural or Grey's Anatomy fan to his new show, Hilarie quips, "You don't die!"

Jeffrey laughs: "I don't die. Nice, baby. Good one. I'll survive past one episode.

Hilarie and Jeffrey have a one-year-old son, Gus.

OTH fans, are you bummed Burton isn't appearing in the series finale? Or do you like her explanation for Peyton's absence?
