"O.C." Star Gives Up Bachelorhood

Marriage may not have turned out so well for Jimmy Cooper, but Tate Donovan is willing to give it a try.

The O.C. father figure tied the knot with his girlfriend of six years, Corinne Renee Kingsbury, in a barefoot, beachfront ceremony Saturday.

Donovan, 42, and Kingsbury, 29, swapped vows in a low-key affair in Malibu with just 75 close friends and relatives in attendance.

A reception followed on the beach.

No word on whether any of Donovan's prime-time costars attended the nuptials.

The weekend wedding marked the first marriage for both the longtime bachelor and his new bride.

Donovan first met Kingsbury, an L.A.-based entrepreneur, in 1999, and the duo began dating shortly after.

Donovan finally popped the question at a church while vacationing in Italy earlier this year.

But while it's Donovan's first marriage, it was his second time popping the question.

Donovan was reportedly briefly engaged to A-lister Sandra Bullock in the early '90s, though neither star has commented on the relationship.

The actor also shared a much publicized romance with a pre-Brad Jennifer Aniston, with whom he appeared opposite on several episodes of Friends.

Donovan has also been romantically linked with Gilmore Girls' Lauren Graham, as well as with Vogue glamourpuss and Bergdorf Blondes author Plum Sykes.

In addition to newlywed duties, Donovan's got a lot to keep him busy in the coming year.

Aside from his The O.C. stint, he starred with Anne Heche in last week's feel-good Hallmark Christmas telepic Silver Bells and currently appears in George Clooney's Oscar-buzzing indie film Good Night, and Good Luck.

Donovan will next be seen in the big-screen comedy The Lather Effect, alongside Ione Skye, Eric Stoltz and William Mapother.
