No Charges Filed Against Michael Jackson's Other Doctors

Remember when all the doctors who once treated Michael Jackson were being questioned right and left?

Well, seven of them are in the clear.

The California Attorney General's Office said Tuesday that no criminal charges will be filed against the physicians who were questioned in the weeks following Jackson's death of an overdose of the surgical-grade anesthetic propofol.

An spokeswoman for the Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement said that one doctor was referred to the state Medical Board for prescribing pills to a Jackson alias.

Meanwhile, the federal Drug Enforcement Administration has also concluded its investigation to the doctors' Rx practices, as well, she said.

The names of the doctors in question were not immediately released.

During the course of their inquiry last summer, investigators asked—among others— rheumatologist Allan Metzger, dentist Mark Tadrissi, nurse Cherilyn Lee, dermatologist Arnold Klein, anesthesiologist Randy Rosen, and ear, nose and throat specialist David Slavit to turn over all of their records pertaining to the King of Pop.

Jackson's personal physician when he died, Conrad Murray, has pleaded not guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter for administering the propofol that ultimately killed him. Joe Jackson has also sued Murray for wrongful death on the first anniversary of his son's passing.
