The New Adventures of Old Seinfeld Stars
Call it The New Adventures of George and Elaine.
Seinfeld costars Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are scheduled for a reunion, with Alexander slated to guest star on an upcoming episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine, CBS announced Wednesday.
The actor will play a lizard handler for children's birthday parties with whom Christine goes out on a date.
The show is due to return to the air at midseason.
Louis-Dreyfus has won critical acclaim, as well as an Emmy, for her portrayal of Christine, a frazzled divorced mother trying to keep up with the various sectors of her life.
The show is seemingly the first to break the so-called Seinfeld curse, following the failures of Michael Richards' The Michael Richards Show, Alexander's Bob Patterson and Listen Up and Louis-Dreyfus' Watching Ellie.
In its first season, the show averaged 12.5 million viewers, but the second season saw a hefty slide to 10.4 million average viewers.
Despite the drop in the ratings, CBS announced in May it had picked up the show for a third season.
