A Fire Alarm Won't Budge Brian Williams From Reporting the News
And that's because he's what you would call a professional.
NBC Nightly News' Brian Williams was delivering a story about American Airlines filing for bankruptcy on last night's broadcast when he was rudely interrupted by a fire alarm! (Don't worry, it was just a drill.)
"You'll forgive us, we have a fire alarm announcement going on here in the studio," he told the audience.

Talk about a beautiful way to begin! Take a gander at the recently released music video for upcoming NBC series Smash, featuring Katharine McPhee's version of Christina Aguilera's hit "Beautiful."
On top of McPhee's shimmering rendition of the song, the video also includes sneak peeks of the series, which is a backstage look at a Broadway musical about Marilyn Monroe.
So is the former Idol star cast as the idol herself?

Whether you're an anchor on the NBC Nightly News or a government-hating department head on Parks and Recreation, Green Week is something close to your heart.

Watch Now: Community, Parks and Rec and The Office Halloween Previews!
If we trust anybody to do a Halloween episode justice, it's NBC's Community, Parks and Rec and The Office. And based on these clips from tonight's lineup, we will not be disappointed.
Jeff and Annie fans are in for a treat in the Community clip, plus Ben has a big ol' stick up his butt about a Halloween party on Parks and Rec. And why does Robert California bring Kelly nearly to tears?

Would Amy Poehler Ever Guest Star on Up All Night? TV Gods, Make It So!
Peanut butter and jelly. Oreos and milk. Amy Poehler and Will Arnett. Some things are just meant to be enjoyed together. (And now we're hungry.)
Sure, the funny married couple are both on hit NBC shows, but that's not enough Amy and Will goodness for us. And since Will has guested on Parks and Recreation before, it's only natural to assume that Amy could possibly pop over to the newly picked up Up All Night. But would that ever happen?
Plus, Adam Scott and Amy help predict the future for Ben and Leslie…

Fall TV Preview: We're Losing Sleep Over How Much We Like Up All Night
Dear TV gods, please do not let Will Arnett and Christina Applegate's new NBC comedy Up All Night go the way of their most recent (short-lived) TV projects.
We need this show. We need them on our TV sets. And we're kind of in love with them as parents—or rather, make that endearingly flawed parental train wrecks. Who do karaoke. And drink. And use phrases like "mug of butt."
Dear everyone else: If you don't have an obsession with Arnett or Applegate, and/or you're not a new parent yourself, you may be wondering if this show is for you. Well, here is your answer:

First Look: The Sing-Off's Rockin', Doo-Woppin' New Season
"This is the best music you'll hear on television."
That's a bold statement, Nick Lachey. But once you check out our first look at the new season of The Sing-Off, you can't help but think he's probably right.
Among all the glitz and glamour of American Idol, The Voice and the soon-to-hit-TV X Factor, it's refreshing to see people singing using only what they were born with: their voice.
In this extended promo, you'll hear from judges Ben Folds, Shawn Stockman and newbie Sara Bareilles, as well as judge Lachey, on what we can expect this fall when The Sing-Off returns Sept. 19. Plus, you'll get a sample of the talent that'll hit your ears this season as the groups cover Pink's "Raise Your Glass" and LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem."
Are you excited for the new season of The Sing-Off? Do you think Nick is right in saying that this is the best music you'll hear on TV?
