When you think of the things the Swiss excel at, you may think clocks, chocolate and neutrality. But Lionel Baier just might add "gay romantic comedies" to that list. Candy-factory hunk Pierre Chatagny is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but what he lacks in intelligence he more than makes up for in well-toned muscles and unflagging earnestness.
Looking for love, or rather, casual sex, on the Internet, Chatagny embarks on a string of hot-and-heavy brief encounters, until he meets a man who finally wants him for his brain. Intrigued, he embarks on a journey of self-exploration, and newfound self-awareness and intellectual awakening follow. This may seem a bit trite, but Baier has a deft hand and a light touch that somehow make even the clichés work in his favor.
Stupide is smart...and sweet, too.
