Guys getting hit in the 'nads is always kind of funny.
Ben Stiller's latest film trades on that fact and doesn't aspire to be much more than a few hours of absurd humor--and it's more on target than his last few flops because of that. Stiller is the flexed-out owner of an over-the-top gym who has his sights set on closing down average-joe competitor
Vince Vaughn's lagging operation.
But guess what? There's a dodgeball competition with enough prize money to save the day, and Vaughn's Bad News Bears boys think they can win it. Sure, cry foul all you want about all the juvenile jokes, but there are also bizarre cameos, a guy who thinks he's a pirate, a couple snappy lines and a little self awareness. About half of it works. And when it does, it goes a long way.
