The Movie Adrien Brody Doesn’t Want You to See

Adrien Brody wants his damn money. And he doesn't want you to see this movie.

The Oscar winner has filed a $2 million federal lawsuit in L.A. claiming the makers of the thriller Giallo haven't paid him a cent and are releasing the movie in the United States without his permission.

The actor filed the suit last week, demanding he be paid the $640,000 he is supposedly owed for his work and asking a judge to block the film's release. The request was denied and the Italian-made movie, in which Brody stars as a detective on the trail of a serial killer, was released on DVD today.

Brody says Hannibal Pictures, the makers of the film, lied to him about the financing and that his contract gives him the right to block the film's release in U.S. until he is paid his salary plus additional damages.

Coincidentally, the film's director, Dario Argento, has distanced himself from the movie, saying the producers' cut is a far cry from his original vision.

Based on the trailer, it's no wonder they don't want this flick out there.
