Miss Michigan Nabs the 2010 Miss USA Crown
And then there was one.
Rima Fakih, aka Miss Michigan, nabbed the coveted Miss USA crown on Sunday evening in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Resort Casino.
The 24-year-old Lebanese beauty is the first Arab-American to ever hold the title. Fakih was among the 51 contestants who participated in a controversial photo shoot showing this year's hopefuls in nothing more than lingerie.
The photos prompted a spirited defense from Miss USA overlord Donald Trump last week, who stated, "These pictures are pretty wild, but the girls are incredible."
Indeed.
Controversy or no, Fakih seems as all-American as a Miss USA can be. When asked what it felt like to win she said, "Ask me after I eat a pizza."
