To say Miranda Lambert has had a rough month is definitely an understatement.

In the wake of the death of her father-in-law (Blake Shelton's dad, Dick), the country music sensation has seen the passing of yet another loved one.

Lambert's childhood pal, Mark "Tex" Adams, was tragically killed in Florida last week when his car was struck by another vehicle after he had pulled over to assist a stranded motorist on the side of the road.

"I have lost a friend I've had since 3rd grade today in a tragic accident," the singer tweeted on Thursday. "When will this pain end. Please pray for peace."

Lambert, who was scheduled to perform in Tallahassee, Fla., on Friday, has subsequently postponed that concert to attend Adams' funeral. The new date for the show is now set for May 17.

"Thanks for the prayers," Lambert told her fans on Twitter, adding: "Please call your friends, especially the ones you haven't talked to in a while or maybe are not on great terms with and tell em u love em...It's so hurtful when it's too late to do that."
