Miley Cyrus Rocks the Capital

She may be two years shy of being able to actually vote, but that didn't stop 16-year-old Miley Cyrus from showing off her political side by way of the Kids Inaugural: We Are the Future concert in Washington, D.C., Monday night.

The teen sensation took to the stage at the Verizon Center to sing for the 14,000-plus in attendance, which included future first lady Michelle Obama and her daughters, Sasha and Malia.

But it wasn't just Miley who wowed the crowd, which included families of men and women of the American Armed Services. Michelle Obama, herself, had her fair share of screaming fans as well when she stepped up to address the audience.

"You kids are the future of this great nation," Obama said to the young folks listening from their seats and watching at home on the Disney Channel. "And at this extraordinary moment in our nation's history, we wanted you to be able to join in on this celebration and share this incredible journey with us."

In addition to Miley, the concert also featured performances by the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Bow Wow, High School Musical star Corbin Bleu plus papa Cyrus, Billy Ray, who closed the concert with a Miley duet, and was attended by such celebs as Rosario Dawson, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah and Lucy Liu.

Check out our exclusive footage of Miley rehearsing and performing, shot by her BFF (and backup dancer), Mandy Jiroux.
