Michelle Rodriguez's Arrest Meltdown

Perhaps she mistook the cops for the Others?

Whatever the reason, Lost star Michelle Rodriguez turned into a drama queen following her arrest earlier this month for drunken driving, with an outburst worthy of the ABC thriller series.

According to a police report unearthed this week by Hawaiian TV station KITV, Rodriguez was "argumentative and rude" to the arresting officer and issued a Braveheart-esque rant when he took her in for posting a 0.145 blood alcohol content, twice the legal limit.

"I don't f--king belong here! Why don't you just put a gun to my head and shoot me! You've already taken my freedom! You might as well take my life too," she was quoted as saying.

The Girlfight star continued her soliloquy as she was driven to jail, telling the police officer to "just take my car and I'll walk all the way to the North Shore, but don't leave me in the back of this car, poppie."

Her lawyer has declined to comment on her tantrum.

Rodriguez, a new addition to the cast of the ABC hit as hot-headed police officer Ana-Lucia, was pulled over in the wee hours of Dec. 1 after her black Mercedes was spotted weaving across the road. After bombing a field sobriety test, she was hauled off to jail.

Costar Cynthia Watros was picked up 15 minutes earlier for drunken driving. While she presumably had a less dramatic response, she was also taken to jail and charged. Both stars coughed up the $500 bail and are scheduled to appear in Kaneohe District Court on Dec. 29.

Rodriguez is no stranger to the Hawaiian legal system.

Last week, she made good on several driving-related fines. Rodriguez forked over a $357 fine for driving 83 mph in a 55 mph zone in Oahu on Nov. 1 and a $300 fine for going 90 mph in a 35 mph zone on Oct. 20; she had previously paid $197 for going 80 mph in a 50 mph zone on Aug. 24.

The Fast and the Furious actress' DUI charge could result in more serious trouble. Prosecutors in Los Angeles are investigating whether the arrest constituted a violation of her probation for two bad-driving incidents in 2003. If she is found in violation, Rodriguez could get jail time.
