Michael Jackson's Family Requests Second Autopsy

The answer to the Jackson family's biggest question can't come soon enough.

After the first procedure proved inconclusive pending further tests, Michael Jackson's family has requested that a second autopsy be performed on the King of Pop's body before they take possession of his remains for burial.

Family friend Majestik Magnificent says that the family does not suspect foul play but wanted to be as thorough as possible. The Rev. Jesse Jackson, speaking on behalf of the family, said that questions about the singer's medication need to be resolved.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office said yesterday that Jackson's body showed no signs of trauma or foul play and that he was using prescription medications.

Results of the toxicology tests aren't expected for six to eight weeks. Jackson died Thursday afternoon after falling into cardiac arrest at his rented L.A. mansion.

The personal physician hired by tour promoter AEG Live to accompany Jackson to England next month and paramedics attempted CPR on the 50-year-old star, and doctors worked on him for an hour at UCLA Medical Center before pronouncing him dead at 2:26 p.m.

Details regarding funeral services haven't been released, but Magnificent said it is at least more than three days away.
