Mia Tyler Splits from Hubby
Steven Tyler's little girl is feeling some not so sweet emotion.
Plus-size model and Aerosmith offspring Mia Tyler has split from her rocker husband of nearly two years, Papa Roach drummer Dave Buckner.
"After taking steps toward trying to improve their marriage, Mia and Dave have mutually decided that their lives are heading in different directions and they want different things from their futures," Tyler's rep, Emily Olsen, announced in a statement.
It was the first marriage for both. They didn't have any children.
The rock 'n' roll twosome met in early 2003 while attending Icon: Aerosmith, MTV's special musical tribute to Papa Tyler's band.
It was a whirlwhind romance: Mia Tyler, 26, and Buckner, 29, got engaged in June 2003 and tied the knot in an unconventional way that October. They swapped vows during an Aerosmith concert in nuptial-happy Las Vegas. The couple appeared onstage during the Hall of Fame band's performance, with frontman Tyler giving away his daughter.
They celebrated a second more traditional ceremony in Sacramento in February 2004 for friends and family, including Tyler's half-sister, actress Liv Tyler.
Mia Tyler is best known as a model for Lane Bryant and H&M and most recently hit the small screen in the inaugural season of VH1's reality series Celebrity Fit Club. She'll next be seen in the romantic thriller Don't Stand So Close to Me.
Buckner hits the road for Papa Roach's 27-city U.S. tour Aug. 5 in Las Vegas, teaming with Unwritten Law, 311 and Alien Ant Farm.
