Mets to Jerry Seinfeld: We're So Sorry About Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga finally did it. She finally crossed the line.

Or so think the New York Mets, who have offered up an apology to—of all people—Jerry Seinfeld after her ladyship gave cameras the old one-fingered salute at yesterday's ball game.

Not that there's anything wrong with that? Actually, this time there was.

Officials relocated the suddenly camera-shy singer to an empty VIP box, from where she promptly proceeded to flip the bird.

Turns out, the empty VIP box belonged to Seinfeld. Which, we're guessing, came as quite the surprise to the superfan.

"We deeply regret that Jerry Seinfeld has been associated with this matter and have apologized to him," the organization said in a statement. "The use of Jerry Seinfeld's suite was unauthorized and unknown to him at the time. We made a quick decision to place Lady Gaga and her group in a private suite because of issues related to her visit."

And while the issues will no doubt reoccur, the Mets' seat switcheroo will likely not. In other words: sorry, Gaga, no suite for you!
