Marisa Tomei Waterworks: Actress Sued Over Leaky Apartment

Lawsuit claims a leak caused $128,000 in damages to the apartments of two downstairs neighbors, including that of director John Waters

Now here's one leak Marisa Tomei's publicist couldn't plug.

The Oscar-winning actress has been slapped with a lawsuit by insurance companies repping two of her downstairs neighbors, claiming that a leak from the actress's New York apartment damaged their homes.

And get this: One of those cribs belongs to a famous cult director.

The watery mishap allegedly damaged the apartment of Pink Flamingos director John Waters. (Nope, you can't make this up, not even in Hollywood!)

In a statement, the director said that the insurance claim is standard and not within his control, and that there's no bad blood between him and Tomei.

The suit cites the Crazy, Stupid, Love actress for negligence stemming from a leak back in September 2010 at her West Village building that left $128,000 in damages.

Safe to say this is the one time Tomei's waterworks didn't score her award nominations—or fans.
