Marie Osmond, Hubby Split
Marie Osmond, the perky cohost of the syndicated Donny & Marie show, has split from her music producer hubby Brian Blosil after 14 years of marriage and seven children.
Larry King announced the split today in his column.
"Marie Osmond has asked me to announce that she has separated from Brian Blosil after 14 years of marriage...It's her second marriage, his first. She asked me because I'm a friend of the family. We wish them both the best," he said.
"We hope the media will respect our privacy during this period of our lives," Osmond said in a statement. Her publicist says no further details are being released.
The split comes mere months after Osmond's highly publicized bout with postpartum depression. In repeated rounds on the talk-show circuit, Osmond said she left her children in a babysitter's care over the summer in Provo, Utah, and fled to California after giving birth to Matthew Blosil in July.
The Mormon brood consists of seven kids, including four adoptees and Osmond's son from her first marriage to former footballer Steve Craig.
Osmond and Craig divorced in 1985, and she tied the knot with Blosil in 1986.
No word yet on who will receive custody of the couple's children.
