The Queen of Pop is reportedly going to perform during Super Bowl XLVI's halftime show, according to sports blog SBNation.com.

A rep for the NFL did not deny or confirm the report, saying, "We don't comment on musical acts until we make the official announcement."

Madonna's rep has not returned emails for comment.

The championship game takes place Feb. 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The timing would be perfect for Madonna. She announced last month that her new album will be released in the spring with the first single dropping in February or March.

This isn't the first time Madge was said to be headlining the big show. She was rumored to be on tap for Super Bowl XXXIII and Super Bowl XXXV.

Could this be the year she goes all the way to the big game?

Considering the NFL has been high alert ever since the Janet Jackson disaster in 2004, we imagine Madonna would be on her best behavior.

In other words, leave the cone bras at home.

We want to hear from you now. Is Madonna a good choice for the Super Bowl? Will you tune in or tune out?
