Top Chef Winner Gets Tattooed For Charity
Top Chef winner Michael Voltaggio is very committed to helping end hunger.
How committed?
Voltaggio actually had the red partially-eaten apple logo of anti-hunger group Share Our Strength tattooed onto his right calf this weekend. "For me tattoos are like a roadmap to someone's life," he said while getting inked by tattoo artist Jesse Esquivel of Backstreet Rydim. "This is something I'm really passionate about."
Voltaggio's new body art also marked Sunday's Taste of the Nation: Los Angeles, a food festival that raised about $70,000 for local organizations.
Voltaggio was crowned Top Chef in December over his older brother Bryan, who came in second. The reality show's seventh season, which was filmed in Washington DC, premieres June 16 on Bravo.
