Stars in Orbit: Uma, Mischa and More

The Planet Gossip satellites see everything, and each week I share the best sightings from around the world and occasionally even beyond it.

Eating: Uma Thurman rushing into Serendipity 3 in NYC with her two kids and an assistant to eat their pre-ordered lunch of fried chicken, a foot-long hot dog, Pasta Angelica, Frrrozen Hot Chocolate and a hot fudge sundae.

With a meal like that, how on earth does Uma stay in such great shape?

Shopping:  Rebecca De Mornay browsing at the Century City Mall in L.A.

We would have loved to corner Ms. De Mornay in the food court and chatted her up about her Risky Business costar and ex-boyfriend, Tom Cruise. Didn't happen, though.

Partying: Jesse Jackson hugging Eddie Murphy at the Our Stories Films launch party with the Weinstein Co. at Social in Hollywood.

Jackson and Murphy make an interesting duo. Too bad Eddie Murphy's girlfriend—Mel B., aka Scary Spice!—wasn't there to make it a triple treat.

Dancing: Penélope Cruz and Bono at Dirty Disco in NYC for the New York Film festival premiere party for Cruz's new Pedro Almodóvar flick, Volver.

Dirty Disco or not , don't get any funny ideas! Bono is happily married, and Cruz is happily single.

Shopping: Rob Lowe and his wife, Sheryl Berkoff, checking out Sam Lehr jewelry during the Cure Charity Shopping Weekend at Saks Fifth Avenue in Santa Barbara, California, benefiting the local Breast Cancer Resource Center.

Love shopping. Love couples shopping together. Love couples shopping together to help raise much needed funds.

Clubbing: Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton, Nicky Hilton and—get ready!—Geoffrey Rush at Hollywood's number one hot spot, Hyde.

As the night wound down, the giddy foursome jumped into a waiting Escalade to make a late-night run to In-N-Out burger before a sleepover at Paris Hilton's place! Just kidding!

This Week's Forecast

Celebrating: Cameron Diaz, at boyfriend Justin Timberlake and his business partner Trace Ayala's launch tomorrow for their William Rast Spring 2007 fashion line at a Hollywood shindig, as well as Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan.

A public appearance by a very private couple like Justin and Cam is always hot (just ask the paparazzi). Wonder if Timberlake's convinced his Mrs. Robinson to shake her sexy back on the catwalk? Hope so.

Partying: Entourage's Jeremy Piven, Bobby's Nick Cannon and Paris Hilton at the Rock & Republic bash on Wednesday night at Area in L.A.

These three have never met a party they don't like,  but wouldn't it be cool if Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham showed up for R&R like they did last year? Just think of the matching outfits they could put together!
