Pamela Anderson Likes 'Em Fake—Turtles, That Is
Anthony Harvey/WireImage.com
Turtles have a friend in Pamela Anderson.
It's not exactly shell-shocking news, but the buxom bombshell told me the turtles you'll be seeing by her side in the upcoming slapstick comedy Blond and Blonder will definitely not be the real thing.
"The producers thought of bringing in real turtles from a supplier, but you can never be sure how these animals are treated or where they end up," the fierce PETA supporter said via email from the movie's Vancouver set. She said she wouldn't have done the movie if the animals had been real.
In the flick, costarring Denise Richards, Anderson's character adopts a pet turtle from an orphanage. "We decided to have all the turtles in the film be fake, à la the Caddyshack gofer," Anderson said. "It's a riot."
