True Blood stars Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin have a very good reason to make fun of Twilight.

You might think it has something to do with some bitter rivalry between the hit HBO show and the mega huge movie franchise, right?

Well, there's no bad blood between them but...

Moyer says he did it for his young kids, son Billy and daughter Lilac.

What he and his real-life wife costar did was mock Edward, Bella and Jacob on Disney Channel favorite, Phineas and Ferb by voicing characters seen in a vampire movie.

When Moyer's "super-cute" vampire character realizes he's unable to see himself in the mirror he shrieks, "I can't see my hair!"

When Paquin's character—actually named Kristen!—runs off with a shirtless werewolf (voiced by the original Teen Wolf star, Michael J. Fox), Moyer groans, "But Kristen, we were both moody outcasts. We loved each other."

"My kids adore that show," Moyer told me yesterday at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills, where he was promoting Friday's release of The Double, his new spy thriller with Richard Gere and Topher Grace. "I haven't done something that either of them can watch in a number of years, so that is exactly what it's all about."

Moyer and Paquin were asked to guest star after the British hunkster met Phineas & Ferb star Caroline Rhea backstage at Live With Regis & Kelly."I didn't really think about it until I was standing there going, 'Oh, my God. I'm about to impersonate Robert Pattinson and I've never even seen one of these films,' " Moyer said. "But it's done in a very sweet way. It's very gentle. It was a lot of fun."

Not so gentle is The Double. The film centers on a retired CIA operative (Gere) and a newbie FBI agent (Grace) hunting down a notorious Soviet assassin. Moyer plays a jailed Russian killer believed to know where the culprit is.

Moyer is covered in tattoos and has a gnarly scar on his face. Most of his work in the film takes place in a basement jail cell reserved for solitary confinement. They shot on location inside a working prison in Michigan.

"I got them to lock me in one of the cells and leave me there for awhile," Moyer said. "I wanted to see what you could do in a space that big. How are you able to exercise? What is there to look at? It was very interesting and I enjoyed it—in a very masochistic way."
